To be in Ankara

And then we are in Ankara, it took four hours by our car but it was a nice journey, started before sunrise and arrived morning at 10.00 o'clock. Ankara, the city of my childhood memories, of course changed so much,... It was like a new city for me,... But it was a wonderful day, and unbelievable, because Ankara usually in this time of year, is cold and dark... But there was sun and it was not so cold, it was between 8-10 degrees... First of all we should go to our Hotel that we planned to stay there but, yes but, one of the things in the city that I didn't like was the roads and the traffic. They all changed the traffic and roads, and you can see in every street a tunnel road, going under the streets or squares, etc, they built everywhere roads like that and yes, we found our Hotel but it wasn't possible to go by our car, it was on the other side of the road and there wasn't any turn that was let us!!!! And also there was a heavy traffic on the roads too, so we turned and turned for finding a way for to reach the Hotel, at the end, we decided to stay this Hotel that we passed infront of this one several time. It was easy to stop and to park the car :) And also we were tired a little bit too. We liked the Hotel, our room was at the 5th floor and the view was nice, it can be seen Anıtkabir*, especially during night it was so nice. I took some nice pictures from the window of 5th floor but later I noticed that the window glass was double and made a reflection, so not a nice shots I caught.
Actually we didn't spend so much time in the city, because we had to travel again from Ankara to my son. There was a ceremony (oath-taking ceremony) for the new soldiers. So we were on the road again by our car. But I had a chance for taking some city pictures from the car again.
* Anıtkabir, (literally, "memorial tomb") is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War Of Independence and the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
