Poetry cries

Poetry, and me... in the far distance trying to find its own way! maybe never be again or never left me, I don't know but

s o m e t i m e s
I d r e a m
w a l k i n g
in the mountains,
..................................................... eyes hear; ears see; heart feels...

What means poetry?

The word “means” originally came down from the Old English word “maenen,” which meant “to have in mind.” All poems have meaning and there can be different meanings in every mind of readers... Actually it is not touching of words, but touching of heart that words are written on there or coming from there...

But also can we say, poetry is words of wisdom?...

"Poetry is the journal of the sea animal living on land, wanting to fly in the air. Poetry is a search for syllables to shoot at the barriers of the unknown and the unknowable. Poetry is a phantom script telling how rainbows are made and why they go away. " Carl Sandburg, Poetry Considered
*
"Out of the quarrel with others we make rhetoric; out of the quarrel with ourselves we make poetry. "W.B. Yeats
*
"Poetry should... should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts, and appear almost a remembrance. "John Keats
*
"To see the Summer Sky
Is Poetry,
though never in a Book it lie
-True Poems flee."Emily Dickinson
*
"There is poetry as soon as we realize that we possess nothing."John Cage
*
"Poetry is not always words."Audrey Foris
