"O My Friends, There Is No Friend!"

There is a Turkish proverb that says "The memories of a cup of coffee lasts for forty years and is worth a longlife friendship''

I always believed this... Maybe I wasn't lucky for having friends but I believed always.

On the other hand, how drops these philosophical words to my mind again: the first is a quotation attributed to Aristotle by Diogenes Laertius and picked up again by Michel de Montaigne: "O my friends, there is no friend." Then in times, Derrida calls this statement a "performative contradiction," as it would be difficult to address friends and tell them that there are none. But in speaking to friends, one is addressing them. One is calling out to them through a logical contradiction that signifies "the very movement and time of friendship".

Me... Just ironically I can't walk today!

Crazy Idea For Advertisement

Ah, these advertisers, they are crazy! Can you believe this, this is a bus stop!!!! And they decorated for advertisement of a company, says "Home, my sweet home"
Another nostalgic touches My father's first car! But it wasn't red,... but they are really good cars.

The Street where I grew up!

This street where I grew up! We lived there for a long time, there are so many memories, some good, some bad... But I love this street, especially these old trees, how beautiful when they have their leaves... During summer how beautiful to be in this street. Of course, there were much more small houses with their garden at that time... Only trees remained from my memories and this street! All others gone... even no anyone who I know But I should add this too, my first love, you know we all have our first love, he was here living in this street too. What a funny days we lived. He is now, very famous one in USA and he is having a cheese company and restorant, I am not sure, does he remember me It has been such a long time, he has a wonderful parents and I loved them so much, they died a few years ago. Whenever I walk there, I always look at their windows and their beautiful balconies... Yes, their apartment was the only one at that time in this street. What days...

Bostancı Bridge (Nostalgic)

This is a little bit nostalgic for me, because this is where I stand, Bostanci Bridge and it is very old one. When I was a child, we were stopping right there (as where I took this photo) and watching the steam train and the smoke of the train was covering over us! Nothing could have been seen... I always remember this when I walk here...

Decide which one?

A shop, for covering and repairing old furnitures! I loved the colours with the frame of an old couch :) these are the fabrics for furnitures... you can choose one of them for your furniture and they cover it

Hunting

This morning when I woke up, I noticed that something was happening infront of my window. And yes, a cat hunted a small bird and killed her. Then he was playing with this dead bird. It was so touching and we watched with my cat Princess :) What was she thinking of in her mind I don't know, but my camera came up to my mind and I run for getting my camera. Then, I can't believe myself I took all moments of this sad story! I felt myself as a wild photographer :) A tiger was eating his meal... Yes, at the end this cat ate his meal, this small bird. I deleted all other pictures, just a few ones... Should I hate cats now ?
But it was unbleievable, when he finished to eat this small bird, then he went to find another one!!!!!!! He was looking at the trees... :)

Cat Story - 3

What are you doing here Lady, don't you see I am trying to sleep?

Cat Story -2

- Who are you stranger?
- I am not a stranger, I do love cats :)
But she doesn't like me, and she was afraid of me, maybe afraid of my camera :)

Cat Story -1

A black tail, I noticed... What was going on there, then? Yes, a little conversation between white and black cat :)

Dogs

There were dogs on my walking way in a garden. They were sleeping, actually I was afraid too for making them to wake... It is not easy to take their pictures like cats :) But especially the one which was sleeping on the wall, didn't notice me, should have been sleeping very deeply! So I took his pictures.

Birds

I walked down the street this morning. The weather was not good as yesterday, it was cloudy and rainy! But not too cold. As always infront of Marks&Spencer there were birds... Mostly pigeons and crows... and I tried to take their pictures on the branches, but it wasn't the right lens for this shot. But it reminds me Alfred Hitchcock birds :)

So Beautiful

It is afternoon here and when I opened my beautiful world, I found this poem, this is so beautiful, and I know she hasn't been writing poetry for a long time and how made me so happy. I read this again and again and yes, with my tears too, but not because of sadness, just this is emotional nia! How nice to be inspired and to write a poem and how nice all these poetical touches and how beautiful friend I have, Thank you, but this can't be enough in words, I should come there and to give a big hugs... yessssssss!

ISTANBUL
*
Although the images were gone
in a flash
Fragments of them still remain
like glimpses of braided minarets
peeeping between the blue Bosphorus waters
And different faces hurrying past
Watched by the street cats
- endlessly fascinating...
Afternoons chatting
along with a conspiratorial parrot
who nods in confirmation -
Yes, it is all inexplicable and strange
but Boncuk has heard it all before...
More fragments reveal
Istanbul glowing at night showing off
a million shining pinpricks.
A mirror reflects a crowded restaurant
filled with the noise of happy conversations
It is there - where four hands
are clasped across the table
in friendship.....
