24 April Bursa/Gemlik/Yalova

I) Pendik Port
It was a lovely day, there was a sunshine in the blue sky! And the sea was in the calmness too... We planned to make a short trip to the out side of Istanbul. This is the Pendik Port, for ferry boats... On the Asian (Anatolian) side. All these photographs were taken from the ferry boat.
Leaving Istanbul... This sea voyage will take only 35 minutes. We are going to another city on the eastern coast of the Sea of Marmara, its name "Yalova".

2) On The Road

From Istanbul (Pendik Port) to Yalova Port and then by our car, we followed the new road that is from Yalova to Gemlik. They built a new road from Yalova to Gemlik by passing all the peninsula... In my youth years there wasn't a road, some of villages we were going by boat. But the new road hasn't been finished yet.

The black line shows our road the last point is Bursa.
we are leaving Yalova... The new road begins... It goes along the sea side and sometimes passing through the villages and between the hills. There were apple trees in most of the villages. We didn't stop, actually. And yes, still they are working on the road. This wasn't good for us, we lost time there...The view from the hills was amazing. The Marmara Sea and the coast...  But the weather wasn't clear on the surface of the sea... And I couldn't take a good pictures for this. The skies and the sea almost lost in this misty weather.Another small sea side village... It was a quite cool morning... But I can guess, how being crowded during hot summer days.
There was a young bicyclist who stopped for a break! But also a little boy, should have been so happy to drive his bike an empty road... We went on to drive our car, up to the hills again with the beautiful morning views...
And yes, it was a funny bricks, as if standing there
to sit! Like a couch :)they are trying to do something for the avalanche slope here, to make the road strong...The cows suddenly appeared on the road... Actually along the sea side, on the road, the mount Uludağ was seen between the clouds but in the misty air I couldn't take its pictures... Actually I took but doesn't seem none of the.

In another hill we are driving our car, turning around the hills but the road keeps the sea side with us! And yes, in the far of the sea, and in the up the mountain within the snowy peaks we saw... but not seen in the pictures.  It is not these ghost mountains. The mount Uludağ is higher than these hills...  2543 meter!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uluda%C4%9FThis was a small town once upon a time and I remember from my childhood memories, we visited so many times but from the highway we came to this place. It was surprised of course to find like that... I hate all these rising buildings. The views are going to change in many places... Why can't we keep them in their natural beauties? And yes, this is on the way of home... We left Bursa and we are driving our car on the highway to Yalova, that our ferry boat waits for us there. Our direction is Yalova. By the ferry boat to Istanbul. But if you wish there is a highway to Istanbul too... But of course it takes much more time, you have to go all around the bay... but with ferry boat, it is only 35 minutes... and also you find a break without driving.
There was an accident on the road, and they stopped the traffic, so we had to wait for a while on the road. I'm glad it wasn't too long, otherwise we couldn't catch our ferry boat (the tickets are being sold beforetime). Even when we reached to Yalova there was time for ferry boat. So, I wanted to visit  Çiftlikköy. My husband didn't want because of my sadness, because to remember all my memories would make me cry and sad again. But at last he couldn't stand my asking then we went to Çiftlikköy! Yes, I found my house of my memories... It was standing there. Maybe later I post them too but not in here, to my diary I think.
Anyway, our short trip was ending... We were in the ferry boat, watching the sunset at the Marmara Sea... It was almost changed, the weather! There was clouds and it was going to rain.
