Women of the Village Çomakdağı

Muğla, is a city in south-western Turkey. It is the center of the district the same name, as well as of Muğla Province, which stretches along Turkey's Aegean coast. Muğla center is situated inland at an altitude of 660 m and lies at a distance of about 30 km (19 miles) from the nearest seacoast in the Gulf of Gökova to its south-west. Muğla district area neighbors the district areas of Milas, Yatağan, and Kavaklıdere to its north by north-west and those of Ula and Köyceğiz, all of whom are depending districts. Muğla is the administrative capital of a province that incorporates internationally well-known and popular tourist resorts such as Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye (Ölü Deniz/Death Sea).

These villager women in the pictures, who live in the district of Muğla, Milas Çomakdağı Köyü (Çomakdağı Village) nearly 500-year history to live with their traditions and customs in daily life wearing silk clothes, gold jewelry wear. 40 degrees even in summer heat from head to toe in layers of fabric do not remove clothing. Hand-woven clothing and head wear to the center of attention of visitors to their village with flowers that women, 4-5 days, adds color to the local wedding. To transfer their culture to future generations of women who struggle with their own hands to touch, paint the costs of the wedding dress to find the 2 thousand liras.
*
Inherited from ancestors to their traditions and customs they are trying to live by expressing, "This is to maintain the culture in our village are more women involved. In addition to our clothes, wearing on our heads we have the meaning of flowers."
*
Color of the street:
As the villages of İkiztaş, Ketendere, and traditional architecture and unique culture of Alder village ... until today to be protected villages of this area ... Green, purple, blue painted wooden cut stone decorated houses, colorful women's clothes and riot is notorious with the wedding to the whichever village you visit , you can find the same view: in the morning sun, from the wood windows embracing smiling young girls, women, with their colorful embroideries clothes. Bird and flower figures fascinate. With red, blue, and the revival cast of green patterns are likely a real flowers garden. The women of the village, Çomakdağ, as if they carry their own skills on them. From up to cap an astonishing wearing they have. But now instead of silk they preferr cotton fabric in their clothes. To the unique culture of the Aegean region for centuries lived in villages which were made of carved stone doors, cornices and chimneys of houses with amazing views of places between the houses has been made in concrete or distorts the general atmosphere is still original. Wood doors, moldings, ceiling heart, kitchen niches, cumba (oriel windows), eaves, and garden fences, they look like a wonderful rainbow colors as a painting...

"Suludere" After Yesterday

After Yesterday....
You know there is a song with this title too. After yesterday, today I feel tired, sometimes you can't escape from the memories... Of course, I try to remember all nice things but death, always hits sadly... Between past and today, your mind doesn't stop. I'm affected deeply I think. This is a little bit complicates story, but all I can say I miss my Dad and something after his death hits me once again; as if old pages are being opened again... I just talk to myself in my own way, into the words... Sorry for my mod, I didn't go out and I won't.

All these songs that was the inspiration (for to write these poetical falls) of the soundtracks of "Kara no Kyoukai", (Boundary of Emptiness) is a Japanese novel series, authored by Kinoko Nasu and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi. It is also known under the nickname Rakkyo. Its subtitle is The Garden of Sinners.

A dark picture
falling into the emptiness
the waves beat sadly
in the land of my loneliness…
*
Wiping my tears this silent morning
I find the sun in your smiling face
as if you didn’t go…

We should have talked…

Now, memories talk;
playing with the sun
Everything and nothing
in the depth of mind
is defeated heart beatings…

You are there…
Me…?

A hot summer day
The sun lands at the earth as if;
parching the ground and the people…
Among the shadowless trees
Me, in the age of a child, crazy
And you, a dreamer man…
*
You talk about the future,
telling me this field where we stand
“One day, when I retire I will come here to live…”
Between the olive branches I play chase
and I can’t understand you
and you know this too!…
*
For to realize that you were talking the “I” in the future
all these years… all these stories
passed.
*
It is too late now,
just to say “I understand you”…

My small world
when you left is great now than before
because I carry your heart too;
it is the only land - that has no borders,
"Love".

The dance of the memories
touching to my heart
Everything comes and goes,
flowing in the time river,
everything…
even love too!
*
But regardlessly the words of my silent heart
falling into the emptiness
and echoing here;
right here…

It is a place where will be hidden in my memories!
Maybe it had never been real;
it was a childish imaginary!
*
Till the man on the phone pronounced it; “Suludere”!
It is not the betrayal of the earth;
Please forgive me Dad,
All my richness is my heart…

I Love TISCALI, Long Live Tiscali!

Light painting with camera... Made by my photographer friend, dear Leevan

And these lovely cat pictures! Thank you dear Leevan for these beautiful photographs, you are amazing.

Thank you Dear Dave!

Welcome Back Again

Today we thought we mislaid our friend
Whose heart and spirit missed by all
Her camera and her writer’s pen
Bring pleasure to her many friends

The door is open once again
To share her love of life,
Her photos once more to be seen
By all her pals; and all the public too.

Best wishes
Dave

I LOVE YOU BABY
*
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
Pardon the way that I stare.
There's nothing else to compare.
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak,
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it's real.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay
And let me love you, baby.
Let me love you.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay..

Before The Concert 20 February Saturday Night

20 February, Saturday night, Alt Club... Performance of Algo Ritmo
Before the concert, sound check...

Musicians at the dinner before the concert and talking about the details...

Sound check goes on and I try to take some pictures...

The stage is too small for them, they hardly moved... But there was nothing to do :)

They are talking and playing details for the last time before the concert!

What's the problem, I don't know :) I just take their pictures...

By the way I try to take different shots, it will be a new experiment for me to take their pictures under the colourful lights...

Istanbul Talks

Istanbul, like her symbole, typical ferries of the Bosphorus... They sail frequently across the Bosphorus from Europe side to Asia.
Topkapı Palace (museum) and Sepetçiler kasr-ı from the ferry boat...

As if they are racing with us...

To watch them in the car...
Minarets, seagulls and Bosphorus ferries...
